Ports Management & Shipping Department NKUA

Introduction

 The Department of Ports Management and Shipping (www.pms.uoa.gr),School of Economies and Political Sciences, National and KapodistrianUniversity of Athens provides undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral andpostdoctoral studies, focusing on shipping, ports and supply chains thatpillarsof sea-transportation systems. Theconstitute centralinterdise iplinary academie modules inelude, shipping- port - supply cha inmanagement, corporate finance, accounting and entrepreneurship, blueeconomy,green environment,climate change andsustainabilityquantitative methods, technological innovations and informatic, lawprinciples and global geopolitical relationships, inter al ia.

The Department of Ports Management and Shipping, in cooperation withthe Department of Business and Organization Management NKUA, offersthe intensive postgraduate program MSe in 'Shipping and PortsManagement'(https://'spm.pms.uoa.gr). The MSe caters for modern,interdisciplinary and focused academie knowledge, offering scientificspec ialization and professional capabilities to its graduates, for a dynamicand successful career path in the broader maritime cluster.

The Department's vision is to provide a blend of high quality scientificacademie studies, contributing innovative theoretical and applied researchof intemational standards.

The academic faculty of the Department comprises of distinguishedscholars with outstanding interdisciplinary qualifications and extensiveintemational academie and professional experience. Their diverseprofessional backgrounds and academic expertise across multipledisciplines enable them to deliver exceptional teaching, cutting-edgeresearch, and high-quality laboratory services.

Faculty members actively lead educational and global research initiativeswith intemational partners, contribute regularly to prestigiousconferences, and publish in renowned scientific journals. Many of thefaculty members are frequently invited as visiting scholars to leadingglobal institutions and have received numerous international prizes,distinctions and accolades in recognition of their excellence in bothteaching and research.
