OOCL launches two new Asia-South America east coast Caribbean loops


HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), part of the Cosco group, has announced the commencement of two services in June, the Transpacific Latin Atlantic 2 (TLA2) and Transpacific Latin Caribbean 1 (TLC1).

These will provide services from Asia to South America east coast and the Caribbean with direct calls to Santos, Navegantes (Brazil), Manzanillo (Mexico), Cartagena (Colombia), Kingston (Jamaica) and Caucedo (Dominican Republic).

The Transpacific Latin Atlantic 2 (TLA2) will have the following rotation: Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Sepetiba, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Navegantes, Itajai, Santos, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Qingdao.

The Transpacific Latin Caribbean 1 (TLC1) will rotate through Singapore, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Manzanillo, MX, Balboa, Manzanillo, PA, Cartagena, Kingston, Caucedo and back to Singapore.

The TLA2 will commence with the sailing of the 5,100-TEU Cosco New York from Qingdao on June 27. The TLC1 will commence with the sailing of the 9,383-TEU Cosco Beijing from Singapore on May 30

The TLC1 will first begin its services between Asia and Mexico, Panama and Colombia from June, while services to Jamaica and Dominican Republic will commence within the following two months.
